Yes! First, I always recommend speaking with your provider prior to starting a new exercise routine especially when you’re pre/postnatal.

Generally speaking, it’s considered the first 6-8 weeks after delivery. For me & for pilates purposes, 6 weeks - one year is postpartum but honestly we’re postpartum forever and you can benefit & work on rebuilding your core after a year postpartum too.

I always recommend doing a private session(s) to get started and build from there. Private sessions are invaluable because you’re getting one-on-one attention, working on your specific needs as everybody is unique.

The Pilates method is based in control and mind body connection. In my classes, we’ll move slow but effectively and build strength from the inside out. I’ll do some demonstrations throughout class but I like to walk around to make hands on corrections and make sure you’re getting the most out of your class.
*if you’re looking for a heart pumping, tiny pulsing, dripping sweat exercise class with loud music, this won’t be the right fit for you.
